<b>Location.</b> Mission Bay's soft, sandy beaches stretch along the vast Pacific shoreline within 100 yards of the Catamaran Resort and Spa. Mission Bay Aquatic Park lies adjacent to this California resort, SeaWorld is four miles away and historic Old Town is six miles from the resort. The San Diego International Airport is 10 miles from the property. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> One hundred species of palms and approximately 1,000 varieties of flora, many rare, create a tropical aura within this property's 14 acres. Koi swim in the many ponds while colorful macaws call overhead. The South Seas-style lobby boasts a cascading rock waterfall that flows into a pastoral pond. Opened in June, 2005, the bayside spa and health club features an outdoor spa tub with 360-degree views of Mission Bay. Training equipment is available on an outdoor patio and in the elaborate indoor facility. Al fresco yoga and Pilates classes are scheduled on a secluded lawn that adjoins the beach. A tropical outdoor pool lures sun seekers and a video arcade attracts gamers. The Atoll restaurant serves California cuisine and is known for its lavish champagne brunches. The hotel also offers a complimentary cocktail cruise aboard a sternwheeler (seasonal). Other seasonal services include children's programs and Bands by the Bay with live entertainment, barbecue and drink specials. <br><br><b>Guestrooms.</b> All 313 tropically themed guestrooms include complimentary high-speed Internet access, coffeemakers and cable/satellite television. Most accommodations have refrigerators. <br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> This resort is located on what is reputedly the world's largest aquatic park. Mission Bay offers a host of water sports including pedal boats, kayaks, waverunners, ski boats, sailboats, and catamarans. Most equipment can be rented at the resort.
